Author Onboarding

Every book starts with Chapter One.

Welcome to Digital Authors. This is where your publishing journey officially begins — the details here shape everything our team builds for you, from your author page to your cover to your book listing.

There's no rush. Take it chapter by chapter.

Your answers save automatically on this device as you go — you can close this tab and pick up where you left off, as long as you return on the same browser.

A few notes before you start

Some items are marked "send by email" instead of asking you to upload here — for larger files (your professional author photo, logo) it's simply easier to send those directly to your publishing assistant.

Don't enter any account passwords on this form. For your Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and Audible/ACX accounts, we only need to know your current status here — please send login details directly to your personal publishing assistant by email.

Welcome back — we restored your saved answers.

Chapter One

Author information

How you'll be introduced to the world as an author.

For your author page, book jacket, and media/podcast requests.

Paste a Google Drive or Dropbox link below, or send it directly to your personal publishing assistant by email.

Paste whichever links apply — leave any blank that don't.

Chapter Two

Book & manuscript

The foundation that everything else — cover, positioning, and marketing — is built on.

Beyond their problem — who are they? Age, role, life stage, what keeps them up at night.

e.g. authority, business leads, speaking engagements, book sales, personal impact, career repositioning, or another goal

Chapter Three

Design & branding

What your cover and author brand should look and feel like.

e.g. minimalistic, bold, elegant, illustrated

Exact hex codes are ideal if you have them (e.g. #E3754B) — general descriptions work too.

Paste links to covers whose style you admire — Amazon listings, Pinterest, anywhere. Please provide these during onboarding, or no later than before the cover design process begins.

Logo, or a QR code that scans to your desired destination (website, course, community, etc.) — send by email to your publishing assistant.

Chapter Four

Content elements

Extras for the book itself — no rush on any of these.

Chapter Five

Publishing

Timeline and the accounts your book will publish through.

Publication typically happens no earlier than 6 months after your project starts.

Chapter Six

Marketing

What you're already bringing to your book's launch.

Final Chapter

Final notes

Anything else we should know.
